CacklePatch, LLC is thrilled to operate Magic in the Stacks, a non-profit initiative designed to enchant young readers and support literacy in schools and libraries across the United States. Through this program, CacklePatch, LLC will donate copies of the popular children’s book, The Legend of CacklePatch, along with free standards-aligned lesson plans for grades K-12.
Following the book’s warm reception, which saw it reach Amazon's Top 10 Hot New Releases in its category, Magic in the Stacks will further CacklePatch’s mission to make unique, inspiring literature available to young readers everywhere.
What We're Offering:
As part of this program, participating schools and libraries will receive:
A complimentary copy of The Legend of CacklePatch
Comprehensive lesson plans by Theresa Campbell, M.Ed.
Eligibility Criteria:
Institution Type: Accredited public and private K-12 schools and public libraries within the United States are eligible.
Application Requirement: Interested institutions must express their interest and mailing address by sending an email to TrickOrTreat@CacklePatch.com.
Application Process:
Submission Period: Applications will be accepted from 11/7/2024 to 11/6/2025, or until 1,000 books are donated.
Selection Criteria: Applications will be evaluated based on demonstrated need, potential impact, and alignment with the program's goals.
Notification: CacklePatch will use reasonable effort to inform selected institutions via email within one week of receipt of the application email.
Distribution Details:
Book Limit: A maximum of 1,000 copies of The Legend of CacklePatch will be distributed across all selected institutions.
Per Institution Allocation: Each selected institution will receive one complimentary copy of the book.
Shipping: CacklePatch, LLC will cover standard shipping costs within the U.S.
Usage Agreement:
Educational Purpose: Recipients agree to utilize the book and lesson plans solely for educational (or fun) purposes within their institution.
Prohibition of Sale: The donated materials must not be sold, auctioned, or used for fundraising purposes.
Reporting Obligations:
Feedback Submission: There are no reporting obligations or strings attached. That said, CacklePatch, LLC would gratefully accept feedback on the program’s impact, including student engagement and educational outcomes.
Intellectual Property Rights:
Content Usage: The lesson plans and associated materials are the intellectual property of CacklePatch, LLC and are provided under a non-exclusive, non-transferable license for educational use only.
Reproduction Restrictions: None. Reproduction or expanded distribution of the materials is allowed.
Program Modifications:
Right to Amend: CacklePatch, LLC reserves the right to modify or terminate the program at any time without prior notice.
Privacy and Data Protection:
Information Use: Personal and institutional information collected during the application process will be used solely for program administration and will not be shared with third parties without consent.
Acceptance of Terms:
Agreement Confirmation: By applying to the program, institutions acknowledge and agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
