Venus

Did you know the planet Venus rotates in the opposite direction of most other planets? On Venus, the sun rises in the west and sets in the east. And it spins so slowly, that one day on the planet is longer than its year. That is to say, everything is a bit backwards on Venus and that’s why it is such a very fitting name for an odd little bat who does odd little things. 

Venus fell into CacklePatch’s lap one day. Quite literally, actually. By absolute happenstance, CacklePatch was sitting in the VelvetEmerald Forest under the tree that Venus unexpectedly found themselves careening headlong into and subsequently sliding down. You see, contrary to popular myth, most bats actually have very good eyesight. But, as previously established, Venus is not like most bats. 

On that fateful day, Venus and CacklePatch became fast friends. It should come as no surprise that CacklePatch was immediately enchanted by the weird and wonderful creature, and that Venus delighted in finding a like-minded soul.

CacklePatch gifted his friend Venus a pair of goggles that sharpened their eyesight–in more ways than one.
